Krishna

Although one candle kindles unlimited numbers of other candles, each with the same intensity as the first, there yet remains the original candle. Similarly, although the Supreme Personality of Godhead expands Himself in unlimited forms, He yet remains the original cause of all causes. In the Vedas, that supreme original cause is known by the name Krishna because He possesses unlimited transcendental qualities, which can attract all living beings.

Yoga means to connect to God.

Yoga means to connect to God. Bhakti-yoga means to connect to God by doing everything for His pleasure. By doing everything for Krishna's pleasure, one becomes more happy than by doing everything for oneself.

Eternal soul

If one has developed spiritual consciousness and freed themselves from all material attachments and desires then they will return to their true home in the spiritual world, which like them, is eternal. In the spiritual world they will never have to experience the trauma of leaving a body again (death).

Charity

Charity that is given without consideration of anything in return at sacred and holy place at an auspicious time to a needy, then such charity is termed as nature of goodness.

God is within Us.

God is situated within our heart to destroy the darkness which is born out of ignorance with the radiant light of knowledge.

Destroyer and Creator

At the end of the millennium all material manifestations enter into My nature, and at the beginning of another millennium, by My potency, I create them again."

Peace of Mind

Knowledge is superior to practice,Meditation is better than knowledge,giving up the results of action is best than meditation, by giving up the results of action to God we come to the state of peace of mind.

Immutable and Supreme

This complete universe is deluded by the threefold condition of the modes of the external energy, certainly no one knows Me, who is beyond them, immutable and Supreme.

Brahman,Adhyatma and Karma

The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: The indestructible, transcendental living entity is called Brahman, and his eternal nature is called adhyatma, the self. Action pertaining to the development of the material bodies of the living entities is called karma, or fruitive activities."

We are within God

Know that all states of beings of being in the mode of goodness, the mode of passion and whatever is in the mode of ignorance as being manifested by Me alone, but I am not within them, they are within Me.

God's connection with us

Arjuna,there is nothing superior to Me, everything existing is connected to Me like pearls on a thread.

"Endowed with such a faith, he endeavors to worship a particular demigod and obtains his desires. But in actuality these benefits are bestowed by Me alone."

Supersoul

"Out of many thousands among men, one may endeavor for perfection, and of those who have achieved perfection, hardly one knows Me in truth."

The science of uniting the individual consciousness with the Ultimate Consciousness never occurs for one who eats too much or one who eats too little, nor also for one who sleeps too much or sleeps too little.

How to do yoga

"To practice yoga, one should go to a secluded place and should lay kusa grass on the ground and then cover it with a deerskin and a soft cloth. The seat should be neither too high nor too low and should be situated in a sacred place. The yogi should then sit on it very firmly and practice yoga to purify the heart by controlling his mind, senses and activities and fixing the mind on one point."

Desire for Sense Gratification

"What is called renunciation you should know to be the same as yoga, or linking oneself with the Supreme, O son of Pandu, for one can never become a yogi unless he renounces the desire for sense gratification."

Controlling Mind

"Shutting out all external sense objects, keeping the eyes and vision concentrated between the two eyebrows, suspending the inward and outward breaths within the nostrils, and thus controlling the mind, senses and intelligence, the transcendentalist aiming at liberation becomes free from desire, fear and anger. One who is always in this state is certainly liberated."

Try to control the Balance

"Before giving up this present body, if one is able to tolerate the urges of the material senses and check the force of desire and anger, he is well situated and is happy in this world."

Work in devotion

"One who works in devotion, who is a pure soul, and who controls his mind and senses is dear to everyone, and everyone is dear to him. Though always working, such a man is never entangled."

Person elevated in Yoga

"A person is said to be elevated in yoga when, having renounced all material desires, he neither acts for sense gratification nor engages in fruitive activities."

Perform duty without attachment

"One who performs his duty without attachment, surrendering the results unto the Supreme Lord, is unaffected by sinful action, as the lotus leaf is untouched by water."

Wise man does not delight in material senses

"An intelligent person does not take part in the sources of misery, which are due to contact with the material senses. O son of Kunti, such pleasures have a beginning and an end, and so the wise man does not delight in them."

Actual knowledge is enveloped by ignorance

The omnipresent Ultimate Consciousness never accepts the sins nor either the virtues of anyone, actual knowledge is enveloped by ignorance and because of that the living entities are deluded.

Desire to enjoy fruits

A performer of prescribed activities giving up the desire for results of activities obtains uninterrupted peace, but a performer of fruitive activities become bound by obsession to the results of actions due tot desire to enjoy the fruit of actions.

Material Senses are engaged

"A person in the divine consciousness, although engaged in seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, moving about, sleeping and breathing, always knows within himself that he actually does nothing at all. Because while speaking, evacuating, receiving, or opening or closing his eyes, he always knows that only the material senses are engaged with their objects and that he is aloof from them."

God Appears

"To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the principles of religion, I Myself appear, millennium after millennium."

Renunciation of Action

The unintelligent say that renunciation of action and prescribed actions in the science of uniting the individual consciousness with the Ultimate Consciousness are different, but not the educated. A person perfectly engaged in even one, gains the result of both.

Purification

"The yogis, abandoning attachment, act with body, mind, intelligence and even with the senses, only for the purpose of purification."

Weapon of Knowledge and Armed with Yoga

"Therefore the doubts which have arisen in your heart out of ignorance should be slashed by the weapon of knowledge. Armed with yoga, O Bharata, stand and fight."

living beings are part of Supreme

Having obtained real knowledge from a self-realized soul, you will never fall again into such illusion,by this knowledge you will see that all living beings are but part of Supreme.

sacrifices of work culminate in transcendental knowledge

O chastiser of the enemy, the sacrifice performed in knowledge is better than the mere sacrifice of material possessions. After all, O son of Pritha, all sacrifices of work culminate in transcendental knowledge."

Act in devotional Service

"One who acts in devotional service, renouncing the fruits of his actions, and whose doubts have been destroyed by transcendental knowledge, is situated factually in the self. Thus he is not bound by the reactions of work, O conqueror of riches."

Yoga

Monists offer into the fire of self-purification of the mind by yoga, ignited by the urge for self-realization, all the senses and their actions as well as the life breath and its functions.

Remember God

One who remembers me at the moment of death, relinquishing the body ascends and achieves my nature.

Ultimate Consciousness

"He who is satisfied with gain which comes of its own accord, who is free from duality and does not envy, who is steady in both success and failure, is never entangled, although performing actions."

There is no work that affects God

"There is no work that affects Me; nor do I aspire for the fruits of action. One who understands this truth about Me also does not become entangled in the fruitive reactions of work."

Work in Devotion

"One who works in devotion, who is a pure soul, and who controls his mind and senses is dear to everyone, and everyone is dear to him. Though always working, such a man is never entangled."

Man of understanding Acts

"Such a man of understanding acts with mind and intelligence perfectly controlled, gives up all sense of proprietorship over his possessions, and acts only for the bare necessities of life. Thus working, he is not affected by sinful reactions."

Ultimate Truth

Indeed all these are knowledgeable of the principle of per firming sacrifices, purified of sinful reactions by performance of sacrifice. Those who have tested nectar as the result of performing sacrifice reach the eternal, Ultimate Truth.

Educated Person

One whose every undertaking is devoid of motivation for fruitive desires and sense gratification and who has incinerated all activities in the fir of pure knowledge, the spiritually intelligent describe him as educated.

Transcendental nature

"One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna."

Lord Krishna appears to reestablish religion

"To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the principles of religion, I Myself appear, millennium after millennium."

Lord Krishna

Although being birthless, imperishable and immutable, the lord of all living entities, being so situated I appear in this world in My original transcendental form by My internal potency.

Krishna said to Arjuna

"Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion—at that time I descend Myself."

Cycle of sacrifice

"One who does not follow in human life the cycle of sacrifice thus established by the Vedas certainly leads a life full of sin. Living only for the satisfaction of the senses, such a person lives in vain."

Attraction and Averrsion of senses

Attraction and aversion of the senses to their corresponding sense objects is unavoidable; one should not be controlled by them; since they are obstacles in one’s path.

Work in devotion and Fruitive results

"One who is in knowledge of the Absolute Truth, O mighty-armed, does not engage himself in the senses and sense gratification, knowing well the differences between work in devotion and work for fruitive results."

Activities are enacted by the senses

All activities are being enacted by the senses of the material nature without exception; but the unrealized, deluded by false identification of being the body, thus thinks “I am the doer.”

Human Life

But for one who takes pleasure in the self, whose human life is one of self-realization, and who is satisfied in the self only, fully satiated—for him there is no duty."

Perform Your Duty

"Perform your prescribed duty, for doing so is better than not working. One cannot even maintain one’s physical body without work."

Karma Yoga

If a sincere person tries to control the active senses by the mind and begins karma-yoga [in Krishna consciousness] without attachment, he is by far superior."

Knower of Truth

A knower of the truth of the fruitive actions of the senses and their diverse functions, he observing that it is the senses engaging in sense objects, does not become attached.

Bondage of actions

Those persons who execute their duties according to My injunctions and who follow this teaching faithfully, without envy, become free from the bondage of fruitive actions."

Personality

Whichever and however a great personality conducts himself common men do also, whatever he accepts as authority that and that alone certainly all the world will follow

Perform your Duty

"You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty."

Withdraw Senses

"One who is able to withdraw his senses from sense objects, as the tortoise draws its limbs within the shell, is firmly fixed in perfect consciousness."

Partaking of food

Spiritual persons partaking of vegetarian remnants offered in sacrifice unto the supreme Lord get relief from all varieties of sins; but those who prepare food for their own consumption, those sinners eat only sin.

Superior Man

Anyone who regulates the senses by the mind, begins the science of uniting the individual consciousness with the Ultimate Consciousness by the actions of the working sense organs without desire for results then he is superior.

Purposes of Vedas

All purposes served by a small well can at once be served by a great reservoir of water. Similarly, all the purposes of the Vedas can be served to one who knows the purpose behind them."

Be Great Man

"Whatever action a great man performs, common men follow. And whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues"

Control ur Minds

In the minds of those who are too attached to sense enjoyment and material opulence, and who are bewildered by such things, the resolute determination for devotional service to the Supreme Lord does not take place."

Protect urself from dangerous fear

In this endeavor there is no loss or diminution, and a little advancement on this path can protect one from the most dangerous type of fear."

Be free from Reactions that arise out of Actions

Science of actions without fruitive desires by which spiritual intelligence is endowed completely releasing you from the bondage of reactions from actions.

Desire of Sense gratification and Opulent Life

Men of small knowledge are very much attached to the flowery words of the Vedas, which recommend various fruitive activities for elevation to heavenly planets, resultant good birth, power, and so forth. Being desirous of sense gratification and opulent life, they say that there is nothing more than this."

Preparation for battle

Being equipoise in happiness and unhappiness, profit and loss, victory and defeat,
Thereafter prepare for battle and in this way you will not incur sinful reaction

Mind

One who restrains the senses of action but whose mind dwells on sense objects certainly deludes himself and is called a pretender."

Rise up and Fight

Either being slain you will attain the heavenly worlds or by gaining victory you will enjoy the Earth, therefore Arjuna confident of success rise up and fight.

Material Nature

"Everyone is forced to act helplessly according to the qualities he has acquired from the modes of material nature; therefore no one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment."

Birth and Death

For one who has taken birth,death is certain and for one who is dead,birth is certain therefore we ought not to Lament for an inevitable situation.

Perfection

Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection."

Two Classes of Men

There are two classes of men who try to realize the self. Some are inclined to understand it by empirical, philosophical speculation, and others by devotional service."

SOUL

Weapons cannot Harm the soul, Fire cannot Burn, Water cannot Wet it and Air cannot Dry it up.

Soul changes Bodies

Just as man gives up old worn out garments and accepts new apparels, in the same way the embodied SOUL gives up old worn out bodies verily and accepts new bodies.

Soul is Eternal and everexisting

For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time. He has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain."

Soul never Slays nor is Slain

Anyone who thinks the soul is the slayer and anyone who thinks the soul is slain both of them are in ignorance, the soul never slays nor is slain.

Fight O' Arjuna

The embodied soul is eternal in existence, indestructible and infinite, only the material body is factually perishable, Therefore fight O' Arjuna.

Seers of Truth

Those who are seers of the truth have concluded that of the nonexistent [the material body] there is no Survival and of the eternal [the soul] there is no change. This they have concluded by studying the nature of both."

Happiness and Distress

The non permanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed.

Interaction of Senses

The Interaction of the senses and sense objects give "Cold,Heat,Pleasure and Pain".These things are temporary,appearing and disappearing therefore try to "Tolerate" them.

Process of life

Just as in the physical body of the embodied being is the process of childhood,
